I spent years thinking that the chakras were an old Indian tale that made a colorful background in a yoga class, or on a white wall in some hippy living room. It wasn’t until I began to observe each of those points attentively that I began to feel different types of vibration. I usually do this meditation laying on my back, arms and legs flat on the ground and slightly separated from the body: no muscular work needed to remain in the position and absolute focus on each one of the chakras separately, from the root to the crown.

Depending on which of those areas vibrate faster or slower, or if they are somehow blocked, the emotional state will be altered, which will have an influence on the thoughts that pop up. Understanding where emotions physically happen is a great tool to observe them, postponing the need to react. The space created allows emotions to take place and to dissolve by themselves.
